Maison Masarin
Their world draws inspiration both from the family home, steeped in Mediterranean influences, and from the needs of everyday life.
Each product is crafted from raw materials, often repurposed from their original use.
The ambition is to bring natural materials back to life, weaving them into our contemporary lives so that they may endure.
The story of Maison Masarin begins with Michèle Masarin, who founded Comptoir des Teintures in 2012.
Passionate about linens and colours, she searches out and gathers a collection of pieces in hemp, linen, cotton and mixed weaves, transforming and dyeing them with her own colour blends to give them a second life. She was among the early pioneers of upcycling, now an environmental priority.
Ten years later, Maison Masarin was created to add a chapter deliberately devoted to the living space, with as its backdrop the serenity and gentle way of life captured during journeys around the Mediterranean.
Between a house in the Cyclades, a Dammuso in southern Italy, a Finca overlooking Es Vedrà and a Moroccan Kasbah, the atmosphere is altogether different. And yet a common thread emerges: interiors that open onto the outside, great simplicity and a certain pared-back elegance.
A whole philosophy of life.
