Handmade from the root of the teak tree, our NUSA series is a range of kitchen products that are all made in Indonesia. The products are responsibly produced from the root of the teak tree, which is normally considered waste. The name NUSA means Homeland in Indonesia, and the shapes of the products in the series reflect the many islands that make up Indonesia.

All products in the series are food safe. They can only be washed by hand, to preserve the organic structure of the wood and to prevent it from cracking. The organic material gives a feeling of warmth and the series has a rustic look, which is beautiful in combination with ceramics. Variations in color, shape and structure are part of the design and are avoidable when using teak root.
