Handcrafted from teak root, our NUSA series is a collection of kitchen pieces made entirely in Indonesia. Each product is responsibly crafted from teak root — a material that would otherwise go to waste. The name NUSA means Homeland in Indonesian, and the shapes within the collection are inspired by the many islands that make up the archipelago.

All pieces in the series are food safe. They should be washed by hand only, to preserve the organic structure of the wood and prevent any cracking. The natural material lends a wonderful warmth, and the rustic aesthetic pairs beautifully with ceramics. Variations in colour, shape and grain are an inherent part of the design — the unique character of teak root.
