A little history... Sharing was born from a chance encounter with a necklace discovered by Katia Samson on her travels. That necklace led her to meet three Tibetan nuns who had been exiled to India after years of imprisonment in Lhasa, having taken part in a peaceful demonstration against the Chinese occupation. In exile, these three nuns learnt to craft delicate jewellery from precious stones threaded together by hand.
Since 2009, the three nuns have been living as refugees in Belgium, where they continue to create Sharing jewellery. Over the years, Sharing has grown through new encounters and new creations. Their workshops are now based in Dharamsala, Kashmir and Rajasthan.
Each piece is entirely unique, composed of faceted gemstones and thread. Refined and poetic, these jewels carry a soul and a story — like tiny sparks of light and joy, they are a thread that binds us together.
