A little history... Sharing was born from a chance encounter with a necklace that Katia Samson discovered on her travels. That necklace would lead her to meet three Tibetan nuns — women who had been exiled to India after years of imprisonment in Lhasa for taking part in a peaceful demonstration against the Chinese occupation. It was there that the three nuns learned to craft delicate jewellery from precious stones strung together on thread. Since 2009, the three nuns have been living as refugees in Belgium, where they continue to create Sharing jewellery. Over the years, Sharing has grown through new encounters and new creations. Their workshops are now established in Dharamsala, Kashmir, and Rajasthan.
Each piece is entirely unique, composed of faceted gemstones and thread. Refined and poetic, these jewels carry a soul and a story — tiny sparks of light and joy that connect us to one another.
