This Tokyo chair, crafted from natural teak wood, is handmade by Joe Sayegh using recycled wood. No trees were cut down to make it.
The teak used comes from offcuts, roots and branches discarded by the industry due to the presence of knots and variations in color.
Joe Sayegh chooses to highlight these "imperfections" which contrast beautifully with the clean and simple design of this collection, thus offering unique creations full of character.
These raw forms are transformed by the creator's imagination and skill. The wood is polished, lacquered, varnished, bleached, or burned according to their inspiration. The result is unique creations with a design that is both raw and refined.
