It is woven by hand, in reasonable quantities, by women of undeniable talent who work on their own loom, a tradition passed down from mother to daughter to prepare their wedding trousseau.
The family moves with their herd of sheep and the Afghan women of this isolated northeast region continue to produce wonderful handicrafts.
