Candle N°1, Summer Vacations

A firm favorite, the No. 1 "Les Grandes Vacances" candle from Les Choses Simples. This candle evokes long summer holidays spent on the Mediterranean coast, somewhere between Hyères and Saint-Tropez. A burst of lemon, lavender, and orange blossom quickly gives way to notes of rose and patchouli. Then the scent unfolds with vanilla, amber, and tonka bean.

Hand-poured in Provence into amber apothecary jars, the candles are made of 100% natural vegetable wax, an organic soy wax of European origin and certified GMO-free.

Soy wax is environmentally friendly because it is 100% plant-based and biodegradable. Unlike mineral waxes such as paraffin, it does not release soot, making it a very healthy candle for frequent use.

To enhance the beneficial effects of candles, Les Choses Simples exclusively uses untreated cotton wicks that are pre-soaked in wax for better combustion, and are oeko-tex certified.

Since vegetable wax is extremely easy to clean with soap and hot water, you can wash your jar once the candle has completely burned out, and reuse it for a small plant or for other decorative and household purposes.
